01. Is hair transplantation permanent?
Yes, hair transplantation is a permanent procedure. The hair follicles used during transplantation are taken from the nape area, which is genetically resistant to hair loss. These follicles continue to grow in their new places for a lifetime without shedding. With the appropriate technique and the right care, this permanence becomes lifelong.
02. Is hair transplantation painful?
No, it is not. Hair transplantation is performed under local anaesthesia. No pain or ache is felt during the procedure. A slight sensitivity and itching sensation after the procedure is normal and passes in a short time.
03. When does the transplanted hair grow?
In the first 2-3 weeks after hair transplantation, a temporary loss (shock loss) is experienced. This is normal. New hair starts to grow from the 3rd month, becomes prominent in the 6th month, and you will see the full and permanent result in the 12th month.
04. Can women have hair transplantation?
Yes, hair transplantation is not only for men. Individuals with female pattern hair loss can also have hair transplantation successfully with special planning and techniques (e.g. unshaven DHI).
